LNG Barges
EBDG has been at the forefront of gas-fueled vessel design since the 1990s, offering safe and environmentally friendly solutions for LNG propulsion. Our LNG tank barge designs vary in size, capacity, and tank configurations, tailored to meet specific operational needs. EBDG’s expertise in LNG technology ensures our barges provide reliable and efficient performance, supporting operators in reducing emissions and enhancing sustainability.
2,000 CBM LNG Barge
EBDG developed a basic design for a 2,000 cubic meter capacity bunker barge. This design uses two 1,000 cubic meter Type C tanks to carry the LNG and tanks in the barge hull to carry 6,260 barrels of diesel fuel. This arrangement allows a single barge to bunker large vessels that use LNG for propulsion and MDO for generator sets. The design can be provided either in an ATB configuration or as a towed barge.
3,000 CBM LNG Barge
EBDG designed a 3,000 cubic meter ATB based on the 2,000 cubic meter capacity bunker barge previously designed by EBDG. This design uses two 1,500 cubic meter Type C tanks to carry the LNG and also features boil-off gas compressors. The design can be provided either in an ATB configuration or as a towed barge.
7,500 CBM LNG Barge
EBDG developed two concept designs for a 7,500 cubic meter LNG ATB. The first design featured four 1,875 cubic meter Type C tanks. The second design featured two 3,750 cubic meter Type C tanks. Both concepts utilized diesel generators and reliquefaction units for boil-off gas management.
