SR 520 Floating Bridge

EBDG was engaged by the construction team for the SR 520 Floating Bridge replacement project to develop towing and ballasting plans, and design mooring systems for both temporary and permanent configurations. Our work included confirming pontoon weights through deadweight surveys, ensuring the stability and integrity of the 77 floating pontoons that support the new roadway, which includes traffic lanes, high occupancy vehicle lanes, and a bicycle/pedestrian path.

I-90 Floating Bridge Light Rail Construction Support

EBDG provided naval architecture and marine engineering expertise for the I-90 Floating Bridge modifications to support the world's first rail system across a floating bridge. Contracted by Kiewit-Hoffman, JV, our team conducted a stability analysis for the proposed modifications and continues to support the construction team during the light rail expansion. This project highlights our ability to tackle unique engineering challenges and deliver reliable solutions for complex infrastructure developments.
